Amazing! Like wearing leather socks

I purchased a pair of these at Artists & Fleas in LA. I was a little skeptical at first since the fit felt VERY tight and uncomfortable. But after a few wears these Huaraches were AMAZING. I wore them everywhere I could, and they eventually felt like leather socks. They are literally the most comfortable leather product I have ever worn on my feet. They lasted about 2 years through frequent and rough wear and tear, and I just ordered another pair.

I wore these with jeans, with shorts, and even wore them out in the summer with slacks and a blazer. For whatever reason, I get more compliments on these shoes than I do on my wingtips, monkstraps, or other cool/expensive shoes I own. People always want to know where I got them, and I send them right to the Espiritu website.

I recommend going true to size - understand they 100% WILL FEEL TIGHT at the start. Also know they 100% will loosen up and become irreplaceable. I could not give a higher recommendation, not to mention the cool people who make the shoes and run the company.

Ordered after seeing an article in the L.A. Times. Received my pair yesterday. I’m usually a 6/12 to 7, but following the guidelines on sizing ordered a 6. Opened up the box, thought “ohhhhh, these look nice”, thought maybe I would have to wear them around the house to stretch. They fit perfectly and are so comfortable! The craftsmanship is beautiful. If you’re on the fence, get ‘em. You won’t be disappointed.

Perfect summer shoes!

I rarely buy shoes online, but the Espiritu Slip Ons caught my eye with their beautiful leather weave and shape that looked like it would really “dress” my feet.

FAQ

What happens if my delivery is late?

While we strive to ensure all deliveries arrive on time, sometimes delays can occur due to factors beyond our control. If your order is significantly delayed, please contact our customer service for assistance.

What if my shoes arrived and they feel tight?

Huaraches are made to stretch. The leather strips are meant to soften with wear causing a perfect fit around the specific shape of your feet. If you want to accelerate the molding process, (which is what make them so comfortable once molded) you can spray water in the specific parts of the interior of the shoe where you would like to make them wider.

How do I know what size to order?

For our huarache sandals we recommend sizing down if your size is a half size (9.5>9). For our huarache slip ons, we recommend sizing up (9.5>10). Please refer to our comprehensive size guide available on our website. Each product page also includes specific sizing information and suggestions to help you find your perfect fit.

SIZE & FIT

For huarache sizing we use whole numbers, so we recommend rounding down (i.e. if you’re a 9.5 get a 9).

Our leather and designs are made to stretch and mold around your feet to perfectly hug them for a snug fit.
